What a lovely town is Stafford and with several Bowie connections.

David's three performances at New Bingley Hall in Stafford in June 1978 are well known and the first gig for our very own Gouster, the day before this one:

The 1970s hit duo Medicine Head hailed from nearby Tixall. John Fiddler of Medicine Head went on to be lead singer of the band that evolved from Mott, British Lions. He sang All The Young Dudes many times.

Fran Healey, lead singer of rock band Travis, was born in Stafford on 23 July 1973 but moved to Scotland shortly afterwards. Travis have covered both All The Young Dudes and "Heroes".
