Just demolished my built in wardrobe (replacing with an open plan one), so I've lost some storage space, hence...

I have 6 mags with Bowie on the cover for sale:

Q 2003 (Kate Moss & Bowie cover) - great pics, about a 6 -8 page interview with Reality review, & Reality advert on back cover
GQ 2002 - 10 page Bowie feature with loads of great pics of David in the studio with dogs
Uncut 1999 - Massive 20 page feature with lots of rare B/W photos & a 2 page interview with Eno about db.
Record collector 1999 -About 6 pages of Bowie with a price guide and 2 page hours review
Esquire 1995 - About 4-5 pages
Arena Spring 1993 - Massive Bowie feature, lots of great pics. Condition a little dog eared, but not too bad.

£10 plus postage costs for the lot. They're quite heavy (especially the GQ), so postage would be a few quid.

HEre are 4 of the mags:

No takers then. Bummer! A fiver, anyone?

Would it be sacrilege to put these in the recycling box? I just don't have anywhere suitable to store them now.

I feel that there should be a David Bowie museum in Beckenham or at least some sort of permanent display in Bromley or Beckenham Library with magazine, books, memorabilia etc on display and all his albums available to borrow. Maybe a screen showing his videos...

There's a place in Beckenham called the studio that does arts crafts and exhibitons. They did a Bowie night before, showed some of his videos, had an exhibition of old magazine and newspaper cuttings with lots of posters, had a bar with Karaoke and even did a Bowie quiz.

I'll email Bromley council, suggest my idea and see if they want them for the future. When you think about how much Beatles stuff there is in Liverpool, and how there's nothing for Bowie in Beckenham it seems a travesty. Especially when you consider that Bowie was voted the most influential artist by his musical peers.
