the first time i heard 'hunky dory' on cd...i cried*...because a beautiful 'work of art'** had been thoughtlessly fucked up by terrible remastering***. it sounds crappy on cd, beautiful on vinyl****. roll on the er..er..er..'anniversary' edition...or any other edition that they get around to doing digital justice to this most wonderful lp. it doesn't need sub-standard rehearsal takes, extras, etc. it simply needs a great transfer. shame on on the companies that have done cd versions of it so far. cunts*****
