I don't ever remember going to the movies twice in one day, but today I did.

This morning I took 96dbWife and 96dbSon to a place called Rhodes to do some art workshops. after dropping them off me and 96dbNo2Daughter went to the local shopping mall and into the cinema there. I wanted to see Pixar's Up. She had already seen it, but was happy to see it again. Great picture. Pixar can do no wrong.

Then, this afternoon 96dbSon and I went to the Dendy (arthouse) cinema in Newtown to see Moon. It was very busy. We had to queue for tickets and the theatre was half full. It's only on at arthouse cinemas so presumably that's why it was so busy. Great picture. Very low key, very atmospheric.

Here in Victoria, it's managed to get a commercial release at VILLAGE CINEMAS as well as some art house ones like Cinema Nova. At the later, I will be seeing the film again this Monday.

Frequently used to go twice in one day and then I suddenly stopped.

It all changed last month tho', when I had the pleasure of TMWFTE (on a big screen again for the first time in 30+ years) followed by Moon . Roeg's scene 10 still makes me cry... clever boy.

Oh ST i would love to see that double feature.
I haven't seen a 70mm print of TMWFTE in theatres for decades in my region.

Why have Sony Pictures done this in limited release, 'Moon' would do so well in mainsteam cinema's.

Guess as i read Sony only put $2M into it.

In fact i could see it been a real 'BO' hit.
But it's like Nick Roeg said in that clip from 'Watching The Alien' about film distribution.

Never mind Duncan when 'Moon' is a cult film you can look back and laugh.

Looking forward to Mute and Escape from the Deep.
