Thought I'd pop in and say hello. It's been a while.
As a part of its celebration of 75 year anniversary of the Maida Vale studios, Bowies 2002 session is being rebroadcast on Thursday (29/10) evening at 23:00.
It was a good set from what I remember and will bring back a few memories for those that were there and those that had to listen in under the covers
I'll have to see if this iPhone app works - it's supposed to enable me to listen to radio stations around the world. It'd be the reason to buy one if I hadn't discovered the timer.

Cheers Mark, recorded it earlier and just listening to it now. I haven't heard this before, it sounds great - if only Bowie had toured Heathen as extensively as he did Reality. The Heathen gig at Old Trafford Cricket Ground was amazing, Suede were quite good too.
2002 Was such a brilliant year for Bowie. I kinda knew it was a special year at the time, but looking back now at the live performances, the album Heathen, the b sides, the T.V. appearances, the interviews, the chart run, the award nominations etc.. I can really appreciate just how unusually brilliant it was for the latter day Bowie. Even Q Magazine acknowledged it was a 'golden year' for Bowie as he managed to reverse his own commercial decline by delivering an excellent album.
Heard this show before, but this first ever performance of Bewlay Brothers is 'jaw-drop'ingly awesome. I'd put it right up there with "Heroes" from Stage. He's totally nailed the song here, all that's missing is the speeded up vocals on the outro refrain.
Saw Bowie live 3 times in '02 (Meltdow, MOve fest & a triumphant return to The Hammersmith Odeon. Each performance was totally different from the previous. The Meltdown show was the best, but Hammy was very close. Bewlay Brothers and Alabama Song both sounded awesome that night too.
Thanks for the link to the radio show, brilliant stuff.
