thus, its not given out to who's prettiest or who dances the best, but is voted for by the public,...the most votes wins! Its an easy theory to grasp...its a bit like Big Brother or X Factor.
me, I dont vote. I dont waste my time with any of them, coz they are ALL as bad as eachother.

Gary Numan was on Radio two not so long back claiming to have invented Punk!
I alway dismissed him as trivial.I remember at the TOTP studios once when Numan stole a packet of crisps from a dressing room and Noddy Holder was going to punch his face to pieces. DLT broke it up and Numan was crying like a baby. He is known in the biz as a wanker. His music is derived from the efforts of others. He stole it all, that's why he plays holiday camps and shite venues.
i went with gary to his first punk concert (the clash at fulham town hall if memory serves ) we were in a group of about 6 people all who came out raving except gary who hated it. he hated it because "they couldn't play". he was half right of course at this time mick jones was still crossing the stage to tune pauls bass for him and he had dots on the frets to show him where to put his fingers, what gary did not understand though was that it was OK and kinda the point that they could not play. gary always was a very smart cookie and deliberately went out and made a punk record (tubeway army) so he could get signed and then immediately switched to electronica as soon as he had a deal.shrewd.
one of the first few punk shows we went to together the support band was "subway sect" and i knew that that was where gary had come up with the name "tubeway army".
well i am not talking about his politics which always leaned towards the right...but to give him his due....he started on the same suburban street that i did and went to some of the same schools....and he became a millionaire pop star.not everyone can do that.
oh, its so trendy to be on the left.... like Paul Weller, crying all the way to the bank.... and Morrisey... and Hucknall.... all so poor....still living on council estates, relating with the kids in a non-Jacko way, and giving all profits to charity and the needy....
