Heard Cat Stevens singing 'Wild world' live today on the radio..

I remarked to my colleague that the consistency of his voice is timeless.

Is the sound of the voice ageless ?

Down In Space, Its Always 1982 !!

I guess the voice is timeless.

Space Oddity will forever be 1969.

Time will always be 1973

Sound & Vision forever 1977

Heavens In Here could only be 1989.

Reinterpretation of the songs, give the songs impetus, and the ability to live within different timescales, but that original voice, of whichever recording, make the voice timeless happy.gif

I always hoped to bring discussion to this forum..

However,

It would appear no one takes me seriously.

A man called 'Elvis' when he was alive.. had no problem singing a song.

Effortless.

I suppose he would be in his early seventies now..?

Unlike vocalists alive..

I believe Elvis would still be able to give us those fine vocals for us to hear without fuss bother or itch..

agreed, billb...elvis = timeless, effortless, melodic.

some songs are very much of their time...i bought paddy's prefab sprout lp that was recently (belatedly?) released...it is very much of the time it was begotten, good all the same, but...oh, lord...it sounds sooo of that time. i was slightly disappointed until i just listened for what it was. ho-hum.
