I was watching a Sex Pistols documentary last night and and this came up again.
It's not the first time I've heard the story.
Steve Jones is supposed to have stolen some kit from the farewell Ziggy gig.
The dates don't add up so it must have been pre Pistols(if it happened at all).

It was pre-Pistols. The whole story is told rather well in 'England's Dreaming'. The main items to go (on the night of the 2nd) were the very expensive mics used for RCA's recording.

I've always had visions of of Steve and Paul loading up a van with Les Paul's and Marshall's and making a quick getaway.

Steve Jones told the story to Sparks too - except he said the DIDN'T pinch their stuff because they liked Sparks. They olny stole stuff from bands they didn't rate.
