Philip Glenister showed up on NPR for a chin-wag with Scott Simon about 'Life On Mars', which is out on DVD this week. 'Twas also an excuse for someone to play most of the song - very nice to wake up to.
Talking of Bowie music used in movies and TV, I saw The Boat That Rocked last night, which was about pirate radio in the 60s (not brilliant, but good for a laugh).
All of the music was great and contemporary except the bit at the end, between the finish of the story and the start of the credits, where the cast were on the boat, dancing to Let's Dance.
That film's about to get an American release as 'Pirate Radio' and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Perhaps the ending's set in the future, like the Yank version of 'Life On Mars'. Not that that worked or anything...
