last night I went to a party no one seemed to be too bothered about what music was playing but it just wasnt very loud. infact it was just radio. I couldnt find any decent cds luckily I had my flight of the conchords with me. No one seemed that keen on it.

Then out of the blue the most unbelievable crass thing happened. Xfactor came on TV and the voloume gets pumped up and then most the party are watching it. Maybe I'm getting old but it's not how I remember parties.

I went to a party years ago and the girl had asked her little brother to do a 'mix tape' to play.
Unfortunatley he wasn't actually invited to the party which is probably why the mix tape contained songs by Cliff Richard, Renne and Renata, and Joe Dulce as well as that one of the Snowmen singing the Hokey Cokey. We actually had a great laugh listening to the tape so the joke kinda backfired!!!
Then I took charge of the record player and made the best of the records that were there. Seem to remember the best I could find was Gary Numan's 'Cars' and Boomtown Rats 'Don't like Mondays'.
Luckily the beer was unaffected!!
