Probably a load of tosh ( actually make that certainly to be a load of old tosh ) but for just under a fiver about one and a half pints of the old amber nectar these days I guess its worth a shot.

[[ This put me off! I don't think I'll be able to play it.
Format: NTSC ]]
Most UK DVD players play NTSC Ant, its the region thats important so this should play on our DVD players. I'm pretty sure Amazon UK wouldn't be selling it unless it was compatible.
Just looked again, it says All regions so it will play

Noticed some strange Bowie DVDs for sale over on the Amazon UK site.
There seems to be a release of the 1990 Tokyo Dome Sound and Vision footage called Dome Vision for sale, footage thats been available for years on the various torrent download sites. There were two different angles of footage that was shot at that show so I'm not sure which footage this DVD contains? but I'm assuming its the footage that shows all the videos behind Bowie which has the japanese writing captions at various points throughout the show at the bottom of the screen and which was shown on japanese TV at the time. I'm guessing this is a semi official bootleg release on the same lines of that 78 DVD which had the 76 cover! which incidentally is now available once again on Amazon UK but with a corrected 78 cover now.
Also I noticed a Serious Moonlight DVD for sale with a sort of silhouette of Aladdin Sane on its cover!! LOL! how weird is that, it looks very dodgy.
Going back to the Dome Vision DVD, it might be worth a punt if you want a well presented semi official silver DVD of it for your Bowie collection, otherwise stick to your home made downloaded bootleg copy if you have one because this will probably be just the same thing just done more professionally.
Taking into account the Immortal 50th Birthday celebration CD & DVD being made available etc it would seem the bootleggers are going semi legit these days via sites like Amazon UK and the like.

[[ The phrase 'semi legit' doesn't mean anything. The concert ones are bootlegs, the documentaries as unofficial.]]
The phrase semi legit can mean what you want it to hm depending on what context your using it in. I was using it with regards to the bootleggers using sites like Amazon in order to pass off their bootlegs as professionally released DVDs / CDs as opposed to flogging them via record fairs etc.
If we are splitting hairs then I suppose semi legit would mean that the bootlegger has had some sort of backing / input from an official source somewhere, having said that I think its perfectly valid to use the phrase when pointing out that bootleggers are trying to pass their wares off as a lightly disguised professional release.
