Alright boys and girls,

I have decided to get myself a Bowie tattoo and following some research on the net there are some pretty cool ones out there however some well dodgy ones.

Around 11 years ago now I saw a stall holder in Camden with a tat of Bowie from the Diamond Dogs era on his arm which looked pretty cool. That planted the seed in my head to get a Bowie tat myself.

I know the Aladdin Sane style is common and perhaps one of the easiest designs so I was hoping some of you might have some suggestions on what to go for or if you have seen or had any yourself?

i have the bowie logo from the diamond dogs album cover on top of my left arm,i had it since i was 15 its kept its red colour very well for 28 years now.

Is it Mercury nowadays? It was always a pearl necklace when I was a youngun.

these three are all on my music arm ... plans to add T.Rex and Roxy Music. my five favorite bands ... decided to go with symbolism instead of band name or portraits. The Iggy One is too subtle for most people.

i recently had to have cover up work done to erase my ex wife's name ... never get the name of a girl tattooed on you ... women come and go,Bowie is forever

Alrighty, I have, after a great deal of research decided to go for either the Aladdin Sane cover art on the inside of my right forearm down toward my wrist with the words underneath, "Tomorrow is for those who can hear it coming" in a nice font.

The other idea that I have settled on is a Ziggy era image with the AS lightning bolt behind it just like the gatefold of the original LP. That one would probly take up the entire inside of my inside forearm.

Either way it will be fun explaining this to any work related people as I like to have my sleeves rolled up when in the office. ;p

Did you see mine? It doesn't look like this now, though, it needs sharpened up a bit.

I don't like tattoos to be honest I mean WTF is it with the craze anyway? everyone seems to be getting them, looking like some kind of Maori warrior reject isn't my cup of PG Tips next thing we know everyone will be doing the Hakka war dance when they get up in a morning before they start work.

If I were to get a tattoo I think I'd get one the same as that picture on the front cover of Peter Doggett's new book (Doggett what an unfortunate name ) The Man Who Sold The World, it's classic Bowie picture with the Kabuki Mask / stick, besides an Aladdin Sane one is too obvious.
