well the press don't publish pics of him because no one is interested in seeing an old legend pop out for some milk. They did all those shots already.

[[ Odd how he's just been forgotten to the worlds media.]]
He hasn't been forgotten witness that latest Bowie Uncut special magazine but since he isn't doing anything these days he is no longer relevant, you need to be current and relevant to command regular copy unfortunately David Bowie isn't these days

After being subject to the consuming interest of the press for the last several decades, he's probably loving his new-found obscurity. His move to Germany was in part to get away from the burning-glass focus of the media, and get the space he needed to do his own thing.

I never got the feeling Bowie was comfy in the lime light unless he had a product to promote , and personally that for me is why I respect him as an artist !
From what I hear his music is played on the radio as much now as ever ?

Speak for yourself Popp 17 here, always spreading the Bowie word when I can.
Just today one of my fellow college students was listening to dubstep, so I said you into Drum n Bass?Naturally he did, Showed him Little Wonder, he was shocked to find Bowie made a DnB album, he just told me he has the album on his ipod, not a bad little conversion right there.
If you read carefully you can see i spoke for myself telling you what people think about bowie these days, they're not all bowie fans out there you know
I don't mind at all, bowie was our hero in a very different time, relevant to young people/generation in the 70 and 80's and late 90's
not so relevant these days for many many younger people which is totally understandable as all generations need their own heros to relate to
you're an exception, but you almost make it sound as if bowie is widely appreciated these days which obviously is not, he doesn't have much airplay either and bowie himself doesn't seem to care or mind which is also very understandable

I was only joking, saying that there are a few young fans out there (such as me) but the majority aren't understandably.
I laugh at people who look up to these "stars" who are auto-tuned to death, don't write their own songs, have a song or two played on the radio, have one album and then are never heard from again. People need to look beyond mainstream radio.
i appreciated it when people do look beyond that, but i understand why they don't
my son appreciates bowie but has his own heroes and i don't mind, i'm not telling him to dive into bowiemusic
I will when i meet someone who is interested in music and looks beyond the topcharts and every now and then you find someone who appreciates and loves the bowie music which is always cool to see

Actually, it could've been the opening a door with a boiled sweet incident. Not too sure.

my son's generation and my son in particular really like Bowie (he's 19 i have taught him well)... he was over my crib at the weekend and borrowed the revamped Space Oddity and the Ryko MWSTW ... and this is in America where he wasn't that big to begin with. Kids that really are into music still love Bowie ... kids that are into Chart/ X Factor bullshit do not ... but they never did even back in the 70's ... Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.

Heres a couple we dont see together very often! David Bowie and his wife Iman headed out to the 5th annual DKMS Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City to honour Rihanna last night (April 28).
Rihanna was being celebrated due to her recent effort in searching for relief for those who are suffering from leukemia.
Doesnt Iman look stunning in that gorgeous fuchsia colour? But then again, when does Iman NOT look stunning?
also can anyone post the photos with the boiled sweet again?

These dates confuse me, Luna. Is that 03/May/2011, or March/05/2011? Nice pics, all the same.

Merci! Going by the font on the pic, were they taken by Philippe Auliac?

Yes, the drugs are catching up with him. I guess he is enjoying his life of obscurity with just his family and close friends. I'm sad that he is no longer recording as such but he is due some family time.
I guess if he gets bored he could take a look through his vaults and see what turns up?
Ohh, and it could be worse, he scould be doing what the Roling Stones are doing. Now that really is a sad way to go.
