Georgia Symphony Orchestra to begin new season playing Bowie

The diversity of the GSO is illustrated by the variety of works selected for the season including many by 20th century composers to the present. On Nov. 12 and 13, GSO will perform Symphony No. 4 Heroes by Phillip Glass based on the music of David Bowie.

Like the evolution of GSO into a extraordinary group, Alexander said, (Glass) took very familiar music by Bowie and turned it into something thats very unique.

just a short 20 min trip for me ... but i wish they had chosen the far superior Low Symphony.
