I was wondering how Bowie has actiually filled his time since his heart attack on the Reality Tour?

Ok so he would have needed a year or so to take stock and recover somewhat, but what since then apart from his Object book.

Does anyone actualy have any chronology of activity...producing / acting / any bloody thing.

Seeing Iman's article about his following her around the house was deeply depressing.

I do appreciate that he has given a great deal of his life to his artform, and maybe needs some time off...but the best part of a decade???

Maybe he is just being a dad and enjoying a home life...I don't know. Maybe he knows that his best is behind him and he does not intend to ruin that. He looked sooo cool on the Reality Tour. Can he look that cool now let alone be creative.

As far as I am aware we have only had 1 official word from him in all that time and that was 'piffle' at the rumour of a collaberation. Does he take any interest in BowieNet? Do people still pay to belong to that site? Look at his welcome message onj the site...It is dated during rehersals for the Reality Tour.

And then comes the killer quesion for me....Do I actually want him to do anything new? I think he may have been out of the game too long now to pick up. still he may surprise us but I doubt it.

I have just made myself very depressed wring this!!!

He was writing in 2005, (and I guess he still does) in a radio interview he said his next album was sounding pretty "crazy, so it's good" I guess he gave it up.


He's been in bandslam, august and the prestige since he hasn't been musically active. A few years ago a band said david bowie was in the studio next to them, that was probably for remastering or something.

In 2005 he played a few songs in a few shows with Arcade fire.His last performance was at the Blackball 2006, just months after a live performance with David Gilmour.

In about 2006 he audio interviewed a band which was a Bowienet exclusive.
Bowienet doesn't charge anymore for existing members and doesn't allow signups, though recently the email storage has gotten bigger so that leads me to believe there will still be a members thing when it re-launches.

That's pretty much all I know...

I'd like to see an album obviously but it's extremely unlikely with every passing month. I don't want him to tour at all, as long as he's healthy and having a good time, that's ok with me.

I hope not. They get a little predictable after a while. I'd love to hear him with a fresh array of musicians. Or atleast back with Eno and Fripp.

He could hardly speak last time I saw him do anything (Bandslam I think) so I shouldn't imagine he's doing anything musically.

I would have thought that the song Never Get Old, would have made it quite clear..........He has become one of Jehovahs Witnesses.

I suspect he's perennially tempted to put something out but that as each year passes he kinda gets less bothered.

Look at what's happened to popular culture as an art form in the last 10 years - it's enough to make you weep - Simon Cowell as the Antichrist presiding over the trivialisation of pop.....He's had alot of time to think about his place in history

But I like to think he thinks about doing something new. Alot.
