Jezebel.com reports a photo shoot of Ms. Daphne Guinness, conducted by Mr. Bryan Adams - Mr. Bowie seems to be the default idea for a lot of fashion photographers these days. Perhaps it's a generational thing?

Ah! Mr. Waite, the world of Magic is a mirror, wherein who sees muck is muck.

I think it's just laziness. To me, it's the fashion worlds equivalent of when music critics used to say 'His best album since Scary Monsters'. Total lack of creativity and imagination.

They're all pretenders.
Well, OK Kate Moss is a proper fan.

The only one who remotely pays proper homage to Bowie in all these fashion/photo shoots is Tilda Swinton because she is as androgynous as Bowie himself and, too, is a big admirer of him.

I don't get it. Why can't they just make up their own stuff which is slightly influenced by Bowie? Why do they have to outright copy him? I mean I do this on my own in my bedroom with a digital camera! Jesus Christ.

i find those pics disturbing. i love women with short hair but that all looks...wrong. like bowie in drag. he looks great as a fem guy but terrible as an out and out woman (boys keep swing video...nah, not a good look!)

I think they are flattering.....it says a lot about Bowie's impact....we should accept it as a compliment!
