What has happened to Bowienet? Has the site closed down? If so, why haven't the members been informed. I cannot log in anymore and the last news posted was back in February! Can anyone shed any light?

last word was there was to be a revamp with a simple site design, that would be the third time they promised that.

the site broke down and there would be a new one instantly. well... they said that in february so...

rather shameful isn't it. perhaps if those folks from anonymous hacked it would at least be flattened.

It's a disgrace and they still take our membership fees! I think I will cancel my membership next week, I've had enough of being rippped off! Even Blammo doesn't responed to emails anymore. This always happens to Bowie fan clubs!! Remember Bowie Friends & Crankin' Out? They both disappeared without a trace too!

I assume it's a legal thing with EMI. Possibly Bowie can't touch it. Otherwise, something wold have been done by now as it's rather embarrassing.

I'd be surprised if there is some legal issue with the site, although that seems like the only possibility. Perhaps the official web presence is tangled up with the handover of the back catalogue rights and Bowie would rather have nothing rather than one that is so out of date.

LOL Bowienet has been a scam for years!!! I can't believe anyone in their right mind would PAY for a site of an artist worth over quarter billion dollars!!!!!!!!!!

Bowie only owns the name, www.davidbowie.com. Live nation own and operate the site. I think Bowie sold Ultrastar to them, or Live Nation bought Ultrastar out. Either way apart from name, Bowie has nothing to do with the site.

Claude, the trend is to have a page in a social site, but at least it should be done in his case. But then isn't his career over, I really doubt he will come back.

Read on Bowienet last year that some changes were coming in Fall 2011, we're well past that and I'm sure Bowie is also.
