He read that bit out on Radio4 and I complained to the BBC about standards. I asked the controller of Radio4, I asked Tony Hall and I mailed Alan Yentob to explain what Morley means.

Tony Hall replied: 'I have no idea to be frank'

I never had a reply from the controller of Radio4 or Yentob. I took that as an admissiion that Morley's efforts are a shit-cake.

I then asked Ester Rantzen and Anna Soubry(my MP).

Ester said 'I wouldn't buy a book based on a confusing passage like that'.My local MP replied 'I've never heard of Paul Morley'
