Nobody in Portage is worried either. What the heck would you be worried about? |

The Steel had the game tonight. Too bad that Heather let the crowd make calls for him. The 1st call against Alexiuk wasn't going to be called until the crowd made noise then the hand went up. Selkirk spent the majority of the 2nd and 3rd periods in the box and mainly due to the crowds response. We need a ref with some balls that will call it like he sees it. Bring back Leoppky. |

I think if you'd had Loeppky reffing you'd have spent more time in the box - Heather gave you every opportunity to hook, slash and interfere but in the end rolling more lines makes a difference. |

The Terriers should have had more penalties then they did in the 2nd and 3rd but Heather was swayed by the crowd. Look at the Terriers game sheets through the season, are you trying to tell me that they have suddenly started to play clean and don't deserve penalties? |

Selkirk blew it because they were dead tired
Simple fact you can't run 2 lines most of the nite
Tired players= penaltys
Even the players know that they see it happening
Right in front of their eyes everytime Cassidy calls on the payne line |

Nice to see

Have to agree that Heather still let Selkirk get away with a lot of clutching and grabbing by the Selkirk D. He could only ignore so many of those infractions.
Payne and Pleskach were exhausted towards the latter part of the second period. |

stealers lost the game because becides the first line they have no heart only the top three are showing any emotion when on the ice. larson is as well but they dont give him enough ice time to make a differnce. |

Don't forget about the man in the crease for the steel. Huge heart, never gives up. |

Payne-huge heart allways brings 100%, fast and agressive on forecheck
Pleskach-also has huge heart, hits and forechecks well
Hawes-physical presence and comes to play every shift
Armour-give this kid a lot of credit for all the rubber he is facing, and how much his D bails out on him
Dickin-someimes hits, good breakout from own zone
Pawluk-a waste of ice time, 0 intensity, seems scared to get in the corners and fight for the puck
Jackson-lots of talent, very little intensity. This kid dissapoints me.He never goes into the corners to fight for the puck.
Gingera-NO SPEED! NO HEART! TOO SMALL! STAY HOME OR PLAY STREET HOCKEY-OLSON SHOULD FILL HIS SPOT ON THE ICE
Rutherford-not used much, but seems to have a little more intensity than some of the others
Larson-plays hard even though he may not have the most talent
GARDINER-SHOULD BE MUCH MORE AGRESSIVE ON THE PUCK. LAYS BACK WAY TOO MUCH
Alexiuk-steady, but gets burned too much 1 on 1
Jacobucci-plays hard, sometimes get out muscled on the puck
Gagnon-coughs up the puck too much, gets punished in the corners. At least he plays with some heart though
Heide-very little intensity, needs to pick up the pace a little
Goertzen-looks like an orange traffic cone out there
Robinson-prone to bad plays, but is the only real physical presence out on the defecnce
Bottom line-Portage plays with much more intensity, wins the battles 1 on 1, agressive forecheck in the Selkirk zone, and breaks out of the defensive zone with ease.
Waht the fcuk does Selkirk think they are going win, playing @ the level we are seeing to date! |

You know if Selkirk could stay out of the box, they would have the dogs beat. Cheap calls and bad offside calls. Not saying that Selkirk doesn't deserve some of their calls but Portage should have way more. They are the dirtier team. So much interference, hooking, slashing and lots of **** behind the play. The Steelers can't even be near the Portage bench during a line change cause the Terriers pull their stupid hooking and slashing plays as they skate off to their benches. |

dogs deserve more. the only chance selkirk d have against the dogs is grabbing them and hooking them they are absolutely brutal. how about glennie's call for roughing. he took about 4 punches/cross checks before he retaliated |

The Steelers have done everything but decapitate Delong and hardly any of its being called. Kudos to Eric for not retaliating as when they are all over him the other players step up and score the goals!! Thats one reason why he's the MVP of the league. |

He's havin a hard time with armour isn't he? Correct me if I'm wrong but the only goal he scored was the first goal in the first game and didn't that rebound go off somebody on the steel? |

As well, go ahead and shut down one or two of our lines. We still have two that we play. We're a four line club. Shut down one or two of yours and game over. Lines three and four keep the bench on the ground. |

Fcuk off with your four lines bullsh!t. The last 2 games have been determined in the last 5 minutes of each game and could have very easily gone the other way. Game 6 WILL be played Thursday night in Selkirk |

While it appears the Dogs have more talent and depth, you got to hand it to the Stealers for putting up such battle. I am no Stealer fan, but do give them props for their great effort. Every game is hard fought and the Steal seem to take advantage of the chances they generate. Perhaps it is true Selkirk's main 2 lines are running out of gas. I was expecting more from Schappert, but payne and Plesketch are going great, and Armour really is the story here keeping the Stealers in the game more than the play indicates. Dogs have better balance in scoring, wheras the Stealers scoring is concentrated around 4-5 guys. |
