What does every one think of him. Is he a dirty player? Is he a good shutdown player that has the tools to become one of Portages top forwards in the near Future. Who should he play with this year. Letkemen? Rotliuk? Rowat? What does everyone think?

What makes him a dirty player? The fact that he hits anything with skates on? That ain't dirty.

The fact I've seen him jump players from behind, Hits from the back, always slashing.....

Lots of dirtier players out there. Would love to have him on the steelers.

Dirty, no way, gritty, absolutely. Has he had a hit from behind, yes, was it intentional, no. These things do happen in hockey, he's not the only one that's had that penalty. I'd take him on my team every day of the week.

Since we are on the topic of More, i'd like to ask a question. Whats peoples opinion on the trade to acquire More last year for Fallon? Good trade for the Dogs or bad.

Good trade - as you said More is a very gritty type player and never quits. Takes a few penalties but so did Falloon and against the Dogs in the semis it lead to some power play goals. Both good kids.Ones a forward and ones a defenceman so they are hard to compare position wise.

Cory together with Letkeman and Roteluk make a very gritty line. With Roteluk gone next year, I can see Cory and Phil sticking together. Cory works hard in the corners and Phil creates traffic in front of the net. Together with a goal scorer, this could be a very effective line for next year.

Re: Cory More

Was a good trade. Beaujesour was the one to lose out though. (they made the trade with the Terriers)

Falloon was captain of the Kings and a solid D-man who would help the Terriers right now as well as last season.

More however provides some grit up front and is also helping the Terriers this season in a different way.

Where the Terriers come out ahead is that More will be here for two more seasons and Falloon is done. While you could argue either way that Falloon may have more of an impact last year and maybe this, there is no doubt More, if he plays out his eligibility, will have a huge impact over the next two years.

The gamble for the Dogs was that More was coming back from the WHL last year as a 17 year old and there was a good chance he would be trying his luck there again this season. All indications were that he would. Had he made it, (questionable) or ever been called back, the Dogs would've lost big time. However he liked Portage and his role and decided to stay. Probably a good choice for him and great for the clu, making the trade a successful one.

Have to agree. Wasn't a penalty until the crowd starting yelling and Robinson lay on the ice.

Agreed. Was front and centre for the hit. Robinson saw him coming, was trying to avoid the hit and rather than turning away from the boards turned into them and fell in the process. Stupid, turn out, not into the boards.

More is right were he should be, sitting on the sidelines watching. He is a dirty player and obviously from the above posts there are other people that can agree to it. These guys are here to play hockey!!!! Although injuries do come with the territory, intentional injury should not be tolerated!!! As a fan I would like to think that you wouldn't want to see that kind of play either, no matter what team it comes from.

I wonder who started this thread? a member or More family possibly?

The kid can play hockey, selkirk would love to have him.

From the opposite end of the rink one would say the hit wasnt dirty, but I can tell you it was a legitimate hit from behind watching from the end which it happened.

Galley wasnt going to call it until well after the fact. Selkirk fans called this one for him just like portage fans did.

I somehow got cut off...........

just as portage fans called the hit on Delong by alexiuk on thurs night.

Needless to say , we are seeing good hockey in April from both teams. All the best to both teams. I'd love to be watching hockey in selkirk for another few weeks, time will tell.

A hit from behind would not amount to a 2 minute minor. He knew what he was calling for once and made the right call.

The cost of a cheapshot is too much so why dish them out. I hope younger players can learn to adjust their tendencies to cheap shot and the coach should help them to do so...by benching them. Could save a lot of grief in the future.
