Id say this is gonna be a tight series.
Seen them both play Humbolt is missing some grit
where as Protage has picked up in that department
Humbolt's Wacker Def pairing will see a lot of ice
where as protage will roll a Min of 4 def

Advantage Portage......... Humbolt will over play the Wacker line again Protages line combos and grit will Wear down Humbolt in this long series

Schroders will be a hand full but spend a lot of time defending a very tenatious Portage checking line

Broncos have advantage of experience, but thats offset some by Terrier home-ice advantage. Series will be closer than most think...Broncos arent as gritty and team size is smaller than last year, Terriers are definitely deeper and more skilled, and play a better system than last year (dont rely as much on goaltending to win games). The Anavet was an eye-opener for Spiller last year, and he has acted accordingly. No Anavet experience in net on either team, that makes goaltending the wild card in this series, and the outcome may be determined by who has the best tending (last year McHale was the better tender play-wise, but the Broncos were the better team). Who can say how good the Terriers really are...nobody really pushed them hard this year in the MJ. How fast can they adjust now that they have to play a team of Bronco's calibre ?? I think the key for the Terriers is to play their system, pressure Broncos in their end, pressure the puck, and protect the puck if they have it, get back and play solid positionally in their own end. I wouldnt be suprised if this series goes back to Portage for a game six (with the series 3-2 for Broncos). If it does, all bets are off......

I am a Terrier fan. Throw the stats out the window. Talk about whatever system you want. I hope the Dogs do well but there is no doubt based on what they have done, did last yeat to the Terriers and the SJ this year, the Bronco's have to be heavy favorites to repeat.

What does that mean? Nothing. It means the Terriers will have to play the series of a lifetime to even be in it. Can they do it? Sure they can. Will they? I guess we'll find out tonight. A few lucky bounces, the stars being aligned.....that's why the games are played.
