No coach or GM but they signed Butters and Aime for the 2009-2010 season. Read it myself in The Pas's local paper. |

Butters and Aime would already be signed for the upcoming year. What did you think, they all become free agents at the end of a season?
Those two are with OCN until their junior careers are done unless they...
A: are traded
B; quit
Or
C: they are picked up and decide to go to a higher level (or the U.S.A.) and at that point it doesn't matter what they've signed.
It's the same for all teams. It would be like me saying Ryan Audino and Tyler Moore have been signed by the Terriers. Butters and Aime signed with the Blizz when they started playing there, not now. |

the article in the Opasquia Times says that they have recieved the first good news for the team since Hedley was canned and that news was that Butters and Aime have agreed to come back. Good to see that the crest on the front of the jersey does mean something to them. I believe that the Blizzard have thier coach already and are waiting to make it public because he may still be under contract with some other club until the end of the month. I bet Butters and Aime no who the new coach is. |

Some people know who the new coach is but it is not public yet.
Perhaps you are right and he / she has to clear a contract with some other team. We will all know soon enough. |

For those of you that are unaware of how this works, a player DOES have to sign each year. Every player in the MJHL has to sign a PLAYER REGISTRATION CARD for every season they play and must be done before they play their first regular season game. In Buternowski's and Aime's case, they signed this card already. Obviously a player has to be on your player protected list in order to do this. If they do not sign the Player Registration Card, they still remain part of your list, but they are not eligible to play since they will not be on your official roster. |

right...so they either resign the card or quit/ask for a trade. That's the only two options.
Problem though Mr. Coach is those cards are not yet available to sign. And it is only a formality for the returning players anyway. Signed on the card or not, their options are the same. Go to the Blizz or quit/ask for a trade/play at a higher level.
What it sounds like has happened is they've told someone they are coming back next season. Whoop dee sh*t. Or were you actually expecting them to quit? |
