| First off now that the dust has settled conrats to the 2008-2009 Terriers, very impressive season...awesome entertainment for your fans all season.
I find it amazing what a solid foundation we have to build from next year following two championship seasons. If you look at the line up below (assuming all return) there are some very bright spots. Walker, Audino, Moore and Minoletti all have the potential to be ELITE players for the Terriers next season. In my opinion Moore and Audino were two of the best Terriers forwards throughout the play-offs. Solid checkers are in place with the likes of More, Kelly, McKay and Letkeman. Two very promising rookies in Brunett and Dufresne. Very tough with Letkeman and MacInnis. Two offensive threats from the back end in Minoletti and Friesen.
Some early weaknesses may be in goal (although we sure have done well finding studs to fill this position during the off-season). Size and shut-down ability on the back end.
With the experience gained throughout the past two years, Blake's ability to improve his club through scouting and trades and this franchises determination to ice a competitor every season I think the Terriers could three peat as MJHL Champs. I can't wait for next year. Thanks again for a terrific season!

Don't Portage owe the Blues for the trades they made this year, they should fill the Blues lineup it's only fair. |

And with the new arena being ready in January, Portage should have no problem attracting players from around the country. The Dogs are definatly contenders for next year as well. |

I have to agree. Spiller is also probably one of, if not, the top GM in the league. No doubt that we'll have a very competitive team again next year. |

Don't forget to add Becker in there. The only problem with that line up is the 20 year olds.....
Audino
Campbell
MacInnis
Letkeman
Although they all have a role, we will need more than this to take a serious run. The 19 year olds will be incredible, but that may not be enough.
Blake will have to find another experienced high end d-man, a high scoring forward and a goalie....at least.
Great crop of young talent returning but next year could be a tough one if those types of 20 year olds are not found/traded for/bought etc.
Another question mark will be what Walker decides to do. Wheaties are interested. Both options have there pros and cons. Probably won't see much ice in Brandon in a Mem Cup year, but will get the experience. Staying in the MJ means top line ice time, scholly/USHL opportunities and the chance to still go to Brandon the following year. It all depends on what he sees in his future and what he thinks he needs to do to attain that.

are you nuts???? the guy is a useless waste of space that takes up a card. Anyone on the team could smack the guy around. Blake would do well if he could dump the kid. |
