how the name came about.Mel driving threw Steinbach broke down.The mayor stopped to help.whats the matter asked the mayor.Mels reply was piston broke. the mayor said i'll call caa.Mel's reply no no no i'm pissed and broke.So the Blades moved to Steinbach and are now named the PISSTONS.

You Steinbach naysayers are going to be in for a shock once the 2009/2010 season starts. The Pistons are going to be much more competitive. Fans of the South Blues, Flyers, Natives, Stampeders and Blizzard will be wishing they had a team with the Piston's talent.

If doubling your win total to 12 from 6 this year is your idea of being competitive, enjoy the long season. As long as Sonnenberg is involved, this team will continue to be the doormat of the league.

Here,s the sad story,, the Blades never amounted to anything at Fort Alex., never amounted to anything in Bous. and under the current ownership, that is if it is still Mel will amount to nothing in Steinbach,the Auto dealerships are hurting,so don't expect much help from them. Sorry Mel,,, your on your own,, good Luck.

Do you really think that Scott & Mel have any kids, of any talent, that would come to camp. Nobody want to play for those two. Neither one has any people or hockey skills.

What kind of teams have Neepawa and Swan had since they entered the league. If you want to refer to doormats, these two teams are right there laying on the floor.

Neeps took portage out in 7 a couple of years ago and swan took them to 7 last year. They have NEVER been as bad as the blades are consistently.

Please they are not the Blades they are the PIStons

one good year for Neeps and Swan. Wasn't Southeast in the final one year as well. I think that's better than Neeps and Swan have made it.

Can't find the other years, but looks like they have been competitive more than once. I can remember portage being at the bottom as well. In fact, they won 6 or 7 games their first two years, and had some tough times later as well. Everyone has ups and downs.
