Don't forget Hay and Zajac from the Thrashers as well, although Zajac may go to the USHL as he was selected in their draft last week. He has the potential to be the type of offensive defenceman that every team looks for. |

I think that Hay will play in Swift Current but another top player on the Thrashers was Glowa. He could be a good 2 way player with the Blues. |

What does commitment mean? A commitment to show up to camp or what? Don't they have to make the team first, or is it a given? |

dauphin did teh same thing last summer
6 spots available (providing all younger players are back) announced signing of 4 today That leaves 3 spots and one is a goalie. so 2 spots. you say they will announce 20 years old tomorrow. SO who does not make team. The ones they signed or ones on roster
Last summer they announced 5 signing and cut 3 in fall camp

Dauphin will package up the young guys they signed and send them out for older guys. There is no way these guys will be around for the RBC. Another sneaky move by Marlin. |

agree on that move.
Players like Owen may not even report. He probably signed so they will quit calling him
You are not going to the rbc cup with 8 - 18 year olds

Kirkwood likely will not make portage but may get moved, herosian will not play with the pistons but wants to go to the blues, and pogue has signed in the SJ |

I'm interested to hear if kirkwood is still with portage? does anyone know? as for Waldvogel, he's going to be a very good player in the MJHL - is a gritty forward and a good athlete. |

Krahn, being an 18 yr old, will probably get another shot at the Dub (Saskatoon will have an 18 yr old starter, Morrison from BC, so Krahn's rights will probably get traded to another team). If he(Krahn) doesnt stick, he'll be back in a Terrier jersey. The Terriers seem to have a pattern of going with a 20 yr old as a starter anyways, so I wouldnt be suprised to see a summer deal to bring in an '89, regardless of what happens to Krahn.... |

Just new to this and looking for some info. If you are listed by a team and they later decide to release you, do they let you know, or are you just dumped. |

they won't necessarily tell you. As well, you can e-mail the Commissioner and he will tell you if the team is hard to get ahold of.
Good luck. |

I am really surprised that Steinbach picked Kobelka (from Beausejour) in the first round. Kobelka is great, but Harms is amazing AND FROM STEINBACH!! Here we go Steinbach - our first look at how this team operates! |

Merasty can score, but is a huge defensive liability, very lazy player, floats around the ice without the puck. Waldvogel and Brunet will be the big Portage recruits out of AAA. |

Brunet is a beauty. Waldvogel is lazy. Same description as Merasty and add in a bad attitude. |

should just go back to Beardy`s. Blizz don`t need his D.U.I old man and grampa sticking their noses where they don`t belong. I heard they are saying that TJ should be on the second line this year already. Poor Macmillan might have to deal with the 2 BIGGEST ASSES on the rez before the season even starts. |

204.112.168.72 | CONSTANTS | July 27 2009, 11:11 PM |
Funny thing is Macmillan already told grandpa CONSTANT that the reason he didn't draft Trapper any earlier then the 10th round is because he wasn't good enough to go in the earlier rounds. It's unfortunate because the only reason they (OCN) drafted Trapper in the 10th and final round is merely political..
As for TJ it would be great for him if he does make PA raiders. Otherwise I do think he is good enough to make the Blizzards this year. If MacMillan is going to be so good of a coach then maybe this is what TJ needs. |
