Why would the Kings trade Hechter to Winkler if they are going for it?

They traded him to the SJ last year. How could they trade him to Winkler. He is in Nipawin.

It appears that the flyers have just traded for his manitoba rights. One of those quirky rules that the MJHL has that allows a team to hold his provincial rights and still move a kid out of province. That being said, I hope the flyers can get him as he is a very skilled player.

I imagine they wouldn't trade for his list rights unless they were certain they could make a deal with Nipawin but I could be wrong.

Kyle hamm and Kory Kimpinski have been dealt to Nipawin to complete this deal.

Hechter is a good player, did well in the SJ, and is probably the better character-wise by having to deal with everything that goes with being traded (esp. out of province). Interesting thing about this trade is that both players going to Nipawin from the Flyers are Brandon guys. I seem to recall posts from Flyer-land that the Brandon guys on the Flyers seemed to clique together and this caused problems in the room. Is this the Flyers' way of solving the "problem" ???

Maybe a start. Hamm is skilled but grossly undersized for a Dman in junior and Kimpinski, while skilled, plays like he could care less half the time.

Dphn Herald reported they have signed Kaliniski from the Estevan Trade (Jodien) last year and some goalie from Quebec ( father played in NHL). Mihleck or something like that. Also that negotiations going on with several WHL kids. Seems to be some stuff happening in the background.
Already inked the Lamb kid from PA Raiders and some sniper from Alberta that played in the SIJHL last year. Also signed 4 top rookie prospects. If they get 3 or 4 from the WHL they should be in great shape to start the year. Also have some decent returnees like Luke, Dreger, Klassen, Shamanski, Paull, Drysdall, Willows etc. Should be an very competative camp.

Owens from PV, Gaudry from Interlake, some kid from the PA Mintos (National champs in08 and he played and was Cptn this year) and can't recall the 4th kid. No gtees spots on the team but sounds like all 4 are excellent prospects.

Hmmmmm...all that looks like is trade bait to me.They signed those kids so they wouldn't go SJ and inturn get traded back to the MJ.

Those names WILL NOT be playing for a team hosting the National Championship.If they are....Dauphin will be in real big trouble.
