What happened to Dee Fontaine from OCN. Played at Notre Dame last two years. Looked really good in Aboriginal Midget Championships. Much better player than his older brother Marcel Fontaine (Blizzard, Neepawa and Blades)

Derek and Zack Fontaine

June 18 2009, 1:10 PM

are both protected by the Blizzard, as for the Roziere kid i would think he would be one of the Manitoba kids that the Blizzard are really going after. OCN hasn`t announced any key signings out of midget yet like last year when the signed Pearson, Freisen. Hebert, Boulet. If Macmillan is gonna keep things going in the right direction he better get guys like Zulyniak and Roziere into the program.

Someone will pick up Derek Fontaine soon. Good player who will return to Notre Dame for his final year. He will play for the AAA Hounds and then make the step up to Junior A next year. Why the Blizzard let him go is not smart because he will sure help another team.

Yes i could tell you but i won't and I certainly won't give you a password. And no I'm not a Neepawa board member for those guessing. Plus they are still both on that list this morning BUT I agree that list may or may not get updated daily however it has to be updated regularly so other teams know who has been listed and who has been dropped. IF the fontaines have been dropped then they should already know this but if they have been dropped and not told then shame on the Blizz.

Re; list

Any power i hold over you is merely your perception. I was only trying to sched some light on the debate over the fontaines being dropped from the list. The lists are protected by the teams for a reason. When it becomes evident that too many people on the outside have access they change them again, that is why i would never give out that info. The only "hacking" I know how to do is on the golf course. Sorry if i upset anyone by merely trying to help the discussion.

Re: Blizzard prospects

June 26 2009, 10:05 AM

So you're not a part of a team? Did you leave a team? Or do you work for the league on some capacity? I just wonder because if the teams wanted this information public, they would publicize it. So despite your best intentions to "help" you're really doing a diservice to whatever team you decide to talk about on that day.

Either some team is foolishly handing out passwords, or you are acting in a way that they are probably not too happy about. Either way, it is something the league really needs to look at.

Why exactly does the MJ keep their lists so secret? Most of the Dub teams list their prospects on their websites....like really, they are the premier league...why the big secret in the MJ?

Re: Blizzard prospects

June 26 2009, 6:08 PM

user names & pass words are given out to the 11 team personals only. Each team has different log on name & password. If there is a leak & the public gets the info then the league can trace where it came from & the league will fine them..GM,Coaches,Scouts,& some team executives (pending on the organizations) are privlaged to this information only.If teams are giving the passwords out to friends then they are classless organizations.Furthermore for the wanna be's that come on here & brag that they have the pass word,Grow the fu*k up or get out of the hockey loop.Fu*k'n Wanna be's

The Dubs draft picks are available but not there protected list, just like all the leagues across Canada including the MJ. If all protected lists where open to see, every team would be inviting kids to camps with out even seeing them. Pretty easy scouting I would say.

Re: Blizzard prospects

June 30 2009, 4:16 PM

lets end this stupid thread. everyone probably knows 30 out of 50 on each teams protected list anyway by doing some simple internet browsing that a 8 year old could do. The 20 players on each teams roster is a start and previous years draft picks can probably add 10 more. Yes I know some of the draft picks are probably dropped but you could still get a good idea of some of the new players that might possibly make whichever teams.

The reason why they dont have there lists public in the mj is probably because someone gets dropped or added pretty much everyday and they probably dont want to change it on the website all the time
