gingera will be on the team if you dont think he will you dont know hockey at all he will be a 2ND line player mabey 3rd... But the first line wil; have jackson and dickin on it and whoever plays with them is up in the air. Pawluk played with them for a good part of the 2nd half and playoffs but they did nothing in the playsoffs together i dunno i dont like schapps with them bc your then throwing dickin and jackson under the bus but maybe rutherford. But who knows what next season is going to be like time can only tell they have a good shot a winning next year though

The kid can play....he almost always gets cut from a team and then is in the top 2 or 3 scorers on the team. Look at his results not style. top 5 scorers in AAA midget

The ammount of ice time he got last year he should of doubled his points, other players suffered because of him.

well genius, for most of the year both Dicken and Hawes played center - how were they affected by Gingera?

On the 1st line, I like moving Schappert to the wing, as he tends NOT to pass the puck. Paired up with Jackson on the other wing and Dickin in the middle.

That puts Rutherford at center on line 2 - with Gingera and Pawluk - that line may require a bit more size.

On the 3rd line Richard Olson will get his shot as center on the stopper line. With Cassidy gone, Michaud may actually get some playing time on this - the ownership will be thrilled because Cassidy never wanted him on the ice.

i would rather see rutherford play with jackson and dickin instead of schappert bc why would you put someone with probably 2 of the top 10 players in the league that the only thing schappert will do is bring them down by not passing, at least rutherford or pawluk will get them the puck.

Hawes got moved to the third line and Gingera was playing on the first for some of the year, maybe if you were at a game you would of saw that.

Jackson will not get as many points as last year without that great power play with Payne, Hawes, Pleshcash. Most of his point were from the power play not even strenght.

It'll be interesting to see some of the un-named Steeler players in camp, like; Liam Chisholm F from Kenora, Lars Meilleur D from Oakville, Joel Ridgeway F from Grosse Isle.

Local talent: expect Lockport's Craig Scott to have a huge impact - nearly made the team last year had a great camp, will likely play alot like Adam Larson did last season!

He will be more like Hawes than Larson in his style. If the forward strength was not as good as it was out of camp he definitly would have made the team last year. Great to see another local on the team after Murray Walsh Hawes Payne and Harris.

Will the new coach be making those decisions(final roster, lines, etc) on his own ??

Craig Scott's game is almost exactly like Hawes'. Plays at both end of the ice, makes plays, scoring goals aren't eithers biggest asset although they are no slouch at barying pucks, and both play on the edge and will do things others are not willing to do for the team.

well you know he is going to try his top 6 forwards in different ways for the first part of the year to see what works so it coud be either Jackson, Dickin, Rutherford, Pawluk, Schappert, Gingera I think they are going to have 2 solid lines no matter how they get put together as long as who ever plays with schappert he uses his line mates

The buzz is that if they're strong in camp at Centre, Shappert will be moved to the wing. Like to see Shappert with Gardiner and Rutherford as the 2nd line.

So Dickin centres line 1, Rutherford centres line 2,Olson centres line 3, and maybe Hay or Evan Laye centres line 4.

Rutherford will not make this team. The only reason he was there at all last year was Keith Cassidy. Laye is a long shot to make the team although another local kid would be nice to see.

Olsen should play with Scott and Jackson. That would give the team one line that would give full effort every night. One digger(Scott) one high intesity player(Olsen) and one guy that can finish around the net(Jackson); that would sound like Payne Pleskach and Hawes.

No I don't think they would put up the numbers the big line did last year but they would be a handfull.

are you drunk? Cassidy had no choice in keeping Rusby. Not his choice, had to make room for the kid.

Character? Not me that is drunk buddy. Kid showed absolutely no character at all. Schappert is about as much a character guy as Rutherford. Wouldn't miss either one. Take your two Rutherfords and miss the play-offs.
