he's big. 6'4" at 235lbs. Forward. Played 3 games with the Miramishi Timberwolves last year. That is all I could find.
I guess we are going after nobodies and taking gambles. I'm sure McMillan is going to throw him on Defence and teach him for 12 games. As his back end are all big guys. |

The OCN Blizzard have traded the HC playing rights of 19 year old forward Sterling Bear to the Miramichi Timberwolves of the MJAHL for the HC playing rights of 20 year old forward Nick Cooling and future considerations.

It'll just be a phantom player to avoid having someone else scoop them up off the wire for the cash that was given.
Happens all the time. |

the kings would not have given up a player. would have been money if anything...can't see them wanting him. |

It,s to bad,, he has hockey talent, but "the bad news Bear" is just one big headache, who needs that $hit ?? I give him a week or two in N.B., then it,s back to the Rez. |

and he said by trading for a player that wouldn`t be reporting it would stop a team LIKE Dauphin (he used them for an example} from the MJHL from picking him up off waivers. This type of deal is made all the time, that is why some of you idiots think futures are always cash and that isn`t the case. Sometimes futures are a player to be named later or a list player or players. |

Right on Bubbles..if Bear has any talent other then getting penalties he sure hasn't shown it. Tell the coach to quit spewing garbage. He just said that to divert the heat for having a no talent player on the team. |

I can give some information on Cooling.. the guy is coming to OCN to fight im guessing as he's not a very mobile skater and has played in the Nova Scotia Jr B league the past few years. I'll be surprised if he lasts unless they are just looking for him to scrap. I don't know what kind of player bear is but if he was able to play jr a and be a player that plays then this deal is not in OCN's favor. |

McMillan already said (cooling) wasn't coming. They named a player because they didn't want him going to waivers to a team like dauphin. It's on Smalley's blog if you listen to it. Cooling is a 20 year old that only played 3 games last year with the timberwolves. So I'd have to say McMillan is accurate is Cooling not coming here.
Thanks for the info but all for not. He basically just got rid of a headache and some cash maybe some player come January who knows.
Now lets all move on! | |
