Hawes was one of the top all-around players in the MJ every season he played. Could play offence or defence, pass, score goals,hit, and fight (lb for lb one of the tougher guys inthe league), stuck to hockey unless he had to stand up for himself or for a teammate. Also a real good team guy and a solid guy away from the rink. Only dummys who never met him or saw him play would even think of saying otherwise...

thats cool...

In reality I think Blair reached the pinnacle of his hockey career in the MJ.

He was not big enough, fast enough, or skilled enough to move onto the next level. I am not knocking him whatsoever, as I enjoyed watching him in the MJ. In many ways he was the perfect MJ player. Huge heart, tough, and would do anything to help the team win.
