Would it be possible to run the propane through the pnumatics only, vent it into the combustion chamber instead of directly out of the gun as part of the cycle, then burn it and use the exhaust gasses to push the pnumatics back to square one? That way you don't have pre- and post-combustion gas venting straight from the gun.
