The $6k - $10K figure on that car is fairly conservative. .

It could be as much as $25K!

This is what a guy who claims he is putting EVERYTHING into finnishing PREPAID work. He claims to be broke, and not have a shop anymore, but a perusal through the neon forums will show plenty of time he supposedly doesn have being spent, along with plenty of money he also claims he doesn't have, with work being done in a shop he claims to have lost!!

I am a Computer tech, working for an ok paying college. I know for a fact, I could not afford to do this with a car, and I don't owe anybody anything.

ANd before you say he's doing the work himself, I am saying this as a former auto mechanic. The parts alone, (especially high performance ones) would cost a fortune of the money he claims to not have.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I will admit I have been followiong this with some interest.

This is stealing, fraud, and so forth. It wouldn't be any different if he did the old joke Doc always uses of cashing in and running to the bahammas. Has anyone here actually been to his shop recently? Are the markers that belong to other people even around anymore? Have they all been sold off? How do you know?

If he is capable of this sort of lie, what is to stop him fromt he other?

I am sorry to see this, I feel for y'all who have been cheated..
