I have come to the conclusion he was never serious in the first place. He took my money and had fun with it.
and I don't want sob stories about hard times and such - they won't fly with me. I know hard times, I have been there, and I have come back. Heck, 2.5yrs ago I had less than $100 to my name. But to hear that refrain CONSTANTLY from him as a response to legitimate gripes, and then see things like his project car, well it really makes one wonder.
part of the problem I see is that I started to defend Lee over the neon - because people were attacking him for it being a neon (and I know what can be done with them, but thats another story) . . . and I realized I was defending him not because of him being right and them being wrong - but because I felt they were attacking him for making a choice that I had made once (the kind of car), but it was a choice that is honestly irrelevant to the matter. So what its a neon? I'd be just as pissed if it was a mustang or an eclipse or mgb.
I think some folks knee jerk defend him because they see the irrelevant facts and relate to them. Lets focus on whats relevant. He has taken a lot of money and hardware from people. He has made countless promises. He has made countless excuses. He does not deliver. He ignores people, deliberately and with malice. The only way to get his attention is to make a huge stink - you have to be worse than him in ways.
