Basically, a workman's lein is when someone brings stuff (paintball guns, a car, etc) to be worked on and payment is to be made after the work is done. If work is done but no money is paid then the person doing the work (being in possession of the stuff, and possession is 9/10ths of the law) can put a lein sale on the goods.. They sell the goods and retain the money for the services they provided on the equipment..
The thing that made me laugh joylessly was when Lee threatened to charge me a storage fee for my guns... That was when I realized possession is 9.99/10ths of the law and that I've just got to wait.. and hope Lee is a good guy under a lot of pressure.. I'll say this-- lesser folks would have closed up shop and just run away with the money.. He's got it in him to keep going but I still hinge on the idea that he thought I was dead for two years (something I still laugh at... joylessly again) so what happened to my stuff? If its sold, I'm fine with that.. Just give me fair market price for it.. Palmer Blazer #009 has some rarity to it and I'd be pushing for big e-bay style money.. hehe.. So, its in my best interest and his that my equipment is still sitting in the boxes I shipped it in.. If I really really want to hassle I can pull up the shipping records and look at the insurance dollar amounts.. I shipped most of it through my old work place and I believe they still have the records in a box somewhere..
