yeah, essentially

The Legion Shocker is unlikely to be released since its max ROF is limited. The school of thought these days seems to be, that if your perspective marker has a limited speed (limited meaning something under 20-bps or thereabouts) then it'd be better to set it aside and go for something else. Even if the gun gets very nice performance in other areas (the efficiency on those guns was spectacular, as was the moving mass/recoil and all that subjective stuff)

It's of course not totally clear whether or not that would be the case, but one might assume it'd be true.

It's actually the case for the Ion bolt patent as well. The assembly described in the patent uses a moving "shuttle" to shutoff air inlet, but in the process the air inlet has tobe very much restricted, and the bolt's speed is also slowed down by a small amount. When I was working with similar things, I couldn't get it to crank past 16-bps. Of course mine were a little different in design but essentially similar. The patent makes claim to other things in addition, though.
