For safety reasons. One that wandered down the highway to Ft. Yukon this winter had to be exterminated since it stayed in the middle of the road. Not like I blame it for taking the easy cleared way of the highway, but the amount of semis traveling at high speeds would have ended that bear in a much more messy manner and possibly killed or injured the driver.
