She made a point about making a difference "outside" of elected office. One thing you have to admit, whether you like her or not, is that she can draw a crowd. Crowds like her, and she likes them. She will, for the foreseeable future, be able to put people in seats. That is a very necessary thing right now for the GOP, and there are plenty of candidates that wouldn't mind having her as the opening for their speeches.
As or potential scandals, the only one making the rounds that seems to have any weight is some warmed over story about some of the building materials in her house coming from the same lots used by a construction company to build an ice hockey rink in her home town. This story popped up last fall and quickly faded. And given the 3 ring circus that developed out of the Stevens' case, it's doubtful that this rumor will go anywhere but back into the hole.
My money is on a lucrative speaking career. She gets to say the same things she's saying now, get paid very well for it, and not have to even bother with worrying about how the media will cover it.
