Other than steam

I'm not really a train guy, I'm more a stationary steam guy who thought that making a locomotive would be interesting. It's a bit addictive, but I'm still into the steam end of things (but not to the point of firing with coal...)

The diesel end hasn't been that interesting to me yet, but I could see how it might be. Diesel-electric might be a bit difficult - but what about a hydraulic drive?
