The AF weapons index shows several versions of rubber-ball throwing grenades, unfortunately any attempt to make this work with paintballs has met with failure. We tried an M84 style body with tubes barely long enough to hold the paintballs. The paintballs were loaded in the tubes and used a very light wax coating in the tube to hold the balls in place. We have also tried the "jello-shot" method with a semi-solid marker material in the tubes, but that met with poor results as well.
