Taiwanese made lathe similar to a CZ1237 sold and rebranded by many others if I recall. They're belt drive which makes them a little smoother though it just takes a little longer to change speeds. They are powerful machines and can easily damage gears if mistreated. Lift the cover on the head stock and check the back gear and bull gear are in good condition along with signs of tool/chuck crashes on the cross slide or compound. Also check the feed gears on the cover to the left of the headstock. This will be a good time to enquire about the spare gears used to convert the machine to metric feed for metric thread cutting. Don't see the travel steady in the picture so ask about that too.
