Over on a hot-rod/custom-car board, a representative of an aluminum-casting foundry was detailing the process they were going through, to develop their own in-house GMC 6-71 style Roots-type supercharger. Apparently they already make/made a lot of the parts as a third party for other dealers and sellers, so they decided to expand their own offerings by making and selling complete blowers.
The multi-page thread deals with CAD-ing out the housing, making the form, even, eventually, down to ramming the mold and pouring.
Anyway, I thought it interesting when I ran across this photo in the progression:
Gee, I wonder what else they make besides car parts.
