Catalytic Converter and Oxygen Sensors

OK my wife's 98 Accord needs some work to pass emissions. Amongst other things according to the mechanic it need new Oxygen sensors and catalytic coverter. I pulled out the trusty
hayned manual and they look pretty easy to my self. 2 questions:

1. Are they actually as easy to replace as they look?

2. I am looking at this Cat:

Will they work or do I need to go to a Nissan dealer and get specific Nissan parts from them?

And I live in Illinois so I don't need the California stuff.
