The proper way to respond to a request like that

Is to tell the group that they will have to provide a fully sighted person for each 'blind' person playing to act as safety and range control. This is similar to the way legally blind people ski.

Depending on the field, the spotter could be considered part of the field equipment and doesn't count when hit (unless being used as cover), or the spotter is the shooter's equipment and being hit puts the shooter out. I would lean towards the former approach.
