Official Tinker's Guild Loot-Gloat and Weekend Aftermath Thread!

by

So now that the long run-up to our Annual Commercialized Official Gift-Buying Day is at an end, the usual "let's hide his socks in an empty bigscreen TV box, it'll be hilarious!" gags have come and gone, and our billions in collective credit-card bills are still a month or two away, let's have an Official Gloat Thread!

What did Santa Claus- or one of his many proxies- bring you this year?

And, as extra credit, what fun/interesting/noteworthy or at least mildly humorous thing happened to you this long holiday weekend?

Bonus points for the tinkery.

Starting off, I'll set the bar low, noting that the weekend was rather low-key. Few relatives, no major activities, only a couple of visitors. And since that's basically the same as my normal day, I spent the weekend as I usually do, out in the shop.

My loot, again, reflects odd and specific tastes- IE, mostly gift cards and gift certificates. happy.gif There are no local machine tool suppliers, even my somewhat-more-conventional automotive projects require specific and/or specialized parts, and the one, singular, local paintball supplier has a pitiful selection- the entirety of which would fit in a laundry basket with room to spare.

And I already own at least one example of most of it. happy.gif

Therefore, gift certificates. One size fits all, even us oddballs happy.gif

So, what came blasting through the side of your house this Christmas Day?

Doc.
