Printable CD-R

Printable CD-R discs have an extra top layer for the ink... and you're not the first one to have this problem

I haven't read all the posts here, but I have a question.
What about the fact that the layer of stuff on the top of the disk flakes off ?
Or if you get it wet, it dissolves completely.
Are there any that have some kind of protective layer to prevent this ?
I have some multicolored Memorex CDR's here and they are flaking off !
Or course, when this hits the data area, the disk is useless."

So, was moisture or heat involved?

Cheers,

Greebo

P.S. I got bored one day and worked out how fast the outer edge of a 52X CD was moving, and got a figure around 400 miles an hour, Which is why I now use USB sticks for my music and audiobooks in the car... wink.gif
