Fellow I work with was a radar tech and the cause of a recorded "UFO" sighting by throwing a jiffy pop pack of popcorn in front of the radar wave beam. He says it popped and started to char almost instantly. Along with registering a unknown contact 5 miles in diameter right off the bow.
