1, balls came first, and were easier to make and feed.
2, Spring pressure deforms paint, the more you load, the more it deforms. We dont have the luxury of brass casings.
3, magazine and loaders usually make for a very limited paint supply, and for a bulky gun.
I think the only good system that comes close is the q-loader.
