Sourcing small electric motors

by Hans

The motor in my desoldering gun croaked on me last night. At least, I think it's the motor. It's turning slowly and smells like it's burning up... you know, like a burned up motor.

Anyway, I'd like to repair the thing, but I can't see spending $75 for a small can motor at the manufacturer price.... who don't even have it in stock anyway and would have to order it from Japan. Anybody know how to source replacement motors? Only marking on it says "PC25G" Around the size of an RC car motor.
