Considering that the Niblick is the predecessor of the #9 iron, it sounds rather like Roger's club flew further/better than the ball, or they found a lost club somewhere on the course.

"Niblick" most likely came from the short "nibbling" shots made by an club with a high launch angle and short range. Let's not forget the Baffy, Spoon, Cleek, and Mashie. wink.gif

But the Banana ball, Octuple Bogey, and *41 Mulligans!?* You sure he didn't get my score card by mistake?
