One of the coolest field I played on had a bunch of waist high chain link fences creating a sort of gauntlet in the middle of the field. When they built the fences, they tripled them up and offset them enough that it was extremely difficult to shoot a ball through them without it breaking.
So you're in the middle of this mini maze, and people can see you, so they're pouring paint at you. But all you get hit with is splatter. Until that one lucky ball finds the right path.
Kind of like using netting, but with more potential to actually shoot someone.
